Search and Rescue
So I was getting ready for church this morning and I hear my sweetheart explaining to Kid #2 that if he can't find his church shoes he didn't look hard enough. He then proceed to explain that Kid #2 just can't take a quick glance and expect to find what he is looking for without really looking. Then in true teacher form preceeds to show Kid #2 what searching for something should and shouldn't look like. I was proud. I was elated. Through that whole explanation he was calm and tried to show Kid #2 that simply relying on others to find it shouldn't be the norm. And then my sweetheart comes into our room quickly looks in our closet and asks "Honey, wheres my belt?"

Cute! We have the same struggle almost everyday-kids will walk into their room and then quickly back out and declair "I can't find it"
I laughed so hard when I read this- so true!!
We have this discussion EVERY Sunday! The kids can NEVER find their shoes. I made T go in flip-flops last week. It was that or tennis shoes. When we got home, I saw her shoes on her dresser. Are you kidding me? haha
I love it! Sounds like something Tony would do. And I want to know why everything mysteriously goes missing as you're frantically getting ready for church? Happens at our house every week.
Let's just set the record straight, This situation never happened. I am not saying I have never lost something and asked for help, nor am I claiming to be innocent of missing something that was right in front of me, but this series of events did not occur in the same day and certainly not within minutes of the "lesson" of the kids... It appears the author is taking creative license with the events ;-)
